It is essential to begin drawing and painting with a solid technical, fundamental base of realistic drawing and paintingskills. Like when building a house, a strong foundation is vital. It is from this strong base of knowledge that you can break free to create whatever your heart desires. You can leave things out you have learned, but you cannot add what you don't know. Everyone can learn drawing and painting, no matter how humble you start out. With good quality training and lots of encouragement while learning, you will greatly improve.

We believe that this two day workshop is one of the easiest to be introduced to classical oil painting. You will learn to create a classical oil painting step by step starting with a monochromatic background, that is to use only one colour. This process makes it easy to concentrate on tonal values and proportions without having to struggle with colour at the same time. Two weeks later, allowing the first oil layer to dry, we will finish the work in colour.
